This project took place over the course of about a month and a half.  The second graders took all the pictures you see with an iPad, 2 iPad minis, and an iPhone in small groups.  The third graders then used the pictures, which were shared through Dropbox, with the Animoto website.  Each third grader created a video, selected the pictures they wanted, along with the music and style of the video. They then linked their video to their KidBlog page.  Ryan Rapp was the video that was chosen to represent North.  He was nominated by several of his peers through KidBlog and finally picked by me.  I hope you enjoy it, the kids really had fun with the project.

Here is our second grade class, Mrs. Watchorn's, doing our Harlem Shake video for winning the Class Dojo competition in Tech Integration.  This reward also went with Mrs. Michelman and Mr. Linden's dance unit for Music and PE.  Hope you enjoy! -Mr. Meyer

Cool Kids Club

The last day for CKC/NL this school term is May 22^nd .  Summer camp held at North Elementary will start June 3^rd and run through August 2^nd from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with breakfast & lunch provided.  This program is open to all school age children.  The cost is $4 per day per child if on the free lunch program, $8/day for families on reduced lunches, and $16/day for full pay families.  Registrations can be picked up from any Sidney school or the CCCC.  Questions can be directed to Coleen Langdon, 249-6572.

Library Book Check In

Students need to return all books, etc. by May 17^th. Fines will be assessed for lost books.

South Kindergarten - 9 AM to 11 AM; South First Grader - 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

  Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and activities. NO dressy  clothes, dressy shoes, sandals, or crocs please . WEAR TENNIS SHOES WITH SOCKS .   Students will be encouraged to wear a specific colored shirt if they have one at home.  This will help to keep each class together.

Orientation  - May 20

First graders will tour North Elementary and meet the 2^nd Grade Teachers.  Third graders will tour Central and meet the 4^th Grade Teachers.

Last Full Day of School  - May 22 - LAST DAY FOR COOL KIDS until the summer session.

Friends of North  - May 22

North will host a reception for all everyone who volunteered at the school.

Come and Go  on May 23 from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

  Parents are asked to bring their child to school any time between 7:30 and 9:00 to pick up their report card.  All book fines and lunch account balances must be paid in full before getting the report card. NO COOL KIDS.  No breakfast or lunch will be served and NO BUS SERVICE on May 23^rd.

CKC Summer Program  - June 3 through August 2

  Applications for the CKC summer program should be turned in before May 23^rd.
